I’ve been away for a good long while, and as you’d expect it’s because I’ve been very very busy with some things which have nothing to do with photography in any way. I have had some time to take photos, it’s just that I haven’t had enough to get around to any developing, post-processing or editing.
It seems to me that those have become even more integral into my workflow as my collection of work has increased. Once you have tens of thousands of photos logged in negative sleeves, Lightroom catalogues and slide boxes, keeping track of your existing work is as much of a struggle as coming up with ideas for new work.
Once I’ve gotten around to organising all the work I’ll be putting it up to the portfolio section of my website, but that can only happen once I receive the negatives from Peak Imaging (unfortunately I still haven’t gotten around to learning C-41 developing). Then I need to scan them and organise them within my Lightroom catalogue. Once that’s done I have to put them all into sleeves and archive them.
OH JOY.
